A user-friendly operation: We have dispensed with all superfluous buttons and functions. The setup of our HostAfrica Cloud Backup is done in less than five minutes. After the setup, the encrypted backup is immediately transferred to our data center.

Even custom settings are possible in the expert view. Our competent support team are always happy to assist you.

Three flexible recovery options

1. Restore individual files or an entire backup using the web-based control console.

2. Easily download items from the built-in backup browser.

3. In the event of a hardware defect, restore your backup directly to your new device. To do this, you simply start our backup client via a USB stick on your new device and restore the backup. So you do not waste time setting up from scratch.

Encryption with industry standard

At any time, you have the power of encryption: The key necessary to decrypt your backups is entirely yours. When the contract is concluded, we send you the key in a sealed letter and do not secure the key in our systems.

Your backup is encrypted according to the industry standard AES-256. This encryption process is used by enterprises and authorities worldwide and is one of the safest encryption methods.

Automatic check and minimum data transfer

The built-in automatic backup scan checks the backup data automatically after each transfer. Data backup failures, which often occur in conventional backups only in the event of a data loss, are thus excluded.

In addition, the in-file delta technology reduces the data transfer to a minimum even with large files. Each backup operation checks which blocks have been changed within a file and only the change is transferred.

Server backup – We backup your business critical data

Your company data is critical to your business. If there is a loss of data, your company is at risk of financial damage. With the HostAfrica Cloud Backup™ for Server, you save typical business applications in addition to your files. These include backing up Microsoft Exchange servers, MySQL and Microsoft SQL-based databases. The server agent operates under Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

For Windows, Mac & Linux – Backup in the background

Thanks to platform-independent technology, HostAfrica Cloud Backup™ supports Windows, Mac and Linux systems. The backup is created invisibly on all platforms in the background and transferred to our servers. And when you need to open our Cloud Backup client for recovery, it can be used on all platforms in the same way.
